**THIS** is the message I took from “Yesteryear.” It’s so tough to talk about the book and try not to give out spoilers, but for all the talk about how unlikeable Natalie was (and, yeah, I did not want to hang out with her or try to befriend her!), I thought the author did an extraordinary job of setting the scene for every decision she made. They felt understandable. Not ethical, correct, etc., but understandable.

Gah thank you for including me, I'm blushing. But more importantly, this was such a great reframe for me to think about how we use "moral superiority" as an offensive and defensive move. Such smarts!
